Foundations Course

This 31-week course is a comprehensive actionable guide on how to think and build a successful company on a small investment. You’ll learn why branding must be the first thing you work on, even before you develop your product, why you don’t need a groundbreaking product, or to be first to market. You’ll learn how to build a sales funnel and how to position and price your product, why you shouldn’t hire qualified employees and how to build an exceptional team on a budget, avoid the big mistakes and more.

Anyone may apply to this program, admission will be based on a selection process.

Companies Workshop

This 12-week program is a directed discussion centered around the implementation of the SmartUp principles and techniques you learned in the foundations course. While the principles are easy to understand, their application is an art and requires practice to master. In your weekly meetings with fellow company leaders, you will analyze your company’s challenges, brainstorm solutions with the group, and receive mentoring from the instructor.

This program is open exclusively to entrepreneurs working in established companies, admission will be based on a selection process.

Residency Program

Residency is at the heart of SmartUp’s work, and our most exclusive program.
In the SmartUp Residency program selected companies partner with us to build and run their venture with our guidance.
If you are not a founder but have a keen interest in learning the SmartUp methodology while gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of running a startup - you may apply to join one of our resident companies as an intern.

Angels Circle

This 12-week program encourages angel investors to adopt a new funding model - that increases their companies’ chances of success and maximizes potential returns. You will learn the SmartUp way to think and build a successful company on a small investment, helping you evaluate companies and entrepreneurs and guide your portfolio companies towards success.

Which program is right for you?

I am a founder of a startup looking for professional guidance.

Our residency program offers the most intensive and personalized guidance as SmartUp becomes a co-founder in your company. We will discuss strategy for your company and ways to advance it, help you set up effective processes and cultivate a lean healthy organizational culture.

Alternatively, our companies’ workshop offers weekly meetings centered on key subjects and principles crucial for a company's success. In these sessions, you'll discover practical ways to apply our methodology within your company and brainstorm your specific challenges with other company leaders, and receive guidance from the group’s mentor.

I am considering starting a company, but haven't quit my job

You can apply to the foundations course to learn how to start and understand what it would involve, while keeping a day job.
Alternatively, you might want to join as a part-time intern with one of our resident companies -to experience the inner workings of a startup and acquire a diverse skill set that will come in handy when you’re ready to take your own first steps.

I work at a startup, but I’m not a founder

Different programs may be helpful to you depending on personal goals, and the extent of your influence on the company’s overall strategy.
The foundations course is a great place to start, giving you a fresh perspective on all aspects of creating a successful company - encouraging you to evaluate your efforts and results. You will receive the knowledge and practical advice you can apply immediately to create healthy processes in your company.
If looking for a more active participation, the companies workshop may be a good fit. It offers weekly meetings revolving around a subject or principle that are crucial to a company’s success. You will discuss ways to apply the methodology in your company and brainstorm your specific challenges with fellow company leaders, and receive guidance from the group’s mentor
